HELLO GUYS,

well as you can see in my signature i have two systems running through my rtia7, but that have changed and now i use the a7 for 2 channel strictly.

so my 2 channel system consists of:

source either oppo dv980hd or pioneer pl-100 turntable with shure m97xe cartridge>rotel rc990bx preamp > rotel rb990bx power amp > rtia7 via mit exp2 cables

so i am wondering if i should upgrade to a better source or standalone cd player, i mean i like the oppo but have read here many times that a standalone cd player would be much better. have been thinking about the rotel rcd1072 but would like to hear opinions and recommendations regarding upgrading the cd player.

    honestly i do not know. another option would be to keep the oppo as transport (which have a lot of good ones) and get an external dac. i would say 400 ish
