Also... do we have a new vbulletin version here? Or is that a casualty, too?

If you click on the forum link, a happy face says youve been owned, is the site been hacked??? if so, it could be Bose?

Thanks for getting the forums back up so quickly. On a side note, I would think this was just a script kiddie or bot given how the site was just mildly attacked. Either way, not a fun thing to have to deal with on a day off. Thanks again for the quick fix.
    Everything matters. That is all.

Now we just need to get the bug fixed that changes some characters into '?' marks.

Thanks for fixing things. That was strange.

yep most likely a bot that attacked tons of vbulletin run sites looking for our specific version. Oh well. Just takes time to figure out what the script did and how to undo it

can be fun but not on a Sunday night

Glad you were able to undo it without a tremendous amount of effort - THANKS, DUDE!

I have no clue what the hack was. Maybe it was white hat hackers? Considering Polk is making changes internally with updates or major upgrades. The attack comes at an unknown time within a given period to test recovery measures. Perhaps contingency planning put to use, which is normally business processes on paper only.

You can't beat the service and price of this forum, and it comes with a heck of a guarantee. Mega thanks to all the technicians, moderators, sponsors, contributors, and the friends I have made. It's a shame someone would hack such a fine and innocent club.

I hate to be blunt here but after dealing with hacker problems earlier this year it is my contention they should all be strung up by the sack. Again sorry if I offended anyone.

We'll all get use to it, but I loved the fact that the site hadn't changed since I joined in back in 2005. I am not one for too much change. Even over ar AVS I always choose the "retro" style of the site. I'm sure I'm not alone.

So is this temporary or permanent? Either way, we'll all adapt.

Yeah, I thought the upgrade was to stop the site from being hacked again. Seems like it didn't work, since it was hacked again this morning.

At least it was nothing malicious, since I was at work when it popped up.
