My mutt speakers I built

Mutt in the sense they have CV cross overs, Peerless tweeters, Alesis mids and Elemental Designs woofers.
Nothing measured, plotted, graphed for mating these drivers with the cabinets. Only thing is the specs on the woofers and the volume of the cabinets almost match perfectly.
I picked up these "white van" speakers last summer at a flea market for $10. Thought about putting them in my daughters room, no biggy, they make noise they'll be okay. Nope, they sounded so $hitty so I put them in the garage. And put some Mirage speakers in her room.
They were about to go on the burn pile a few days ago. I started to pull the drivers out to toss in the trash before burning the cabinets. But they actually are built pretty damn good. So I got the idea to put new drivers in.
And I must admit, they sound pretty damn good now!
The mids and tweeters are in a separate enclosure.
The bottom mids in each cabinet are original, they had yellow cones so I painted them black.
They originally has 10" woofers. I routed them out for the 12"s.
Painted the silver metal covers black as well that cover the mids and tweeter. And ended up with these.
Might build some feet for them next.
EDIT: And yes.....the carpet if mauve (so the wife calls it) and it is on the list to be replaced!

Ha, I love it, nice work. I've got a pair of Yamaha's in the basement that look VERY similar to those, 12" woofer side mounted, 2x mids and a tweet, the high suck on mine, but they WILL move some air.

You did a decent job. As long as they sound good, they're good.

If you want SDA, you gotta get SDA. There is no substitute.
Maybe someday.>

Ken, I been waiting on you to sell me a pair! See what I have had to resort to?
The Inifinty's have pacified me for the time being though.--Gary--

I swear, these should not sound this nice. For no more money and time I have in them. I've never been much of a fan of side mounted woofers but damn these have nice bass. The peerless tweeters may be a bit on the shrill side though.--Gary--

You should put a 2.2 uf mylar cap inline with the tweeter.
