Hoping for some advice on my set up and possible upgrades

Currently I have a decent surround sound system. Fro my receiver, I use a Pioneer VSX-819H. Then for my speakers I use Polk RM-95s with a Sony subwoofer. (Yes, yes I know...it's a work in progress...)

The receiver is a 550 watt system. The subwoofer is a 10-inch, 100 watt woofer. The RM-95s use from 20-125 watts. (I'm guessing that to volumes that I listen to music and watch movies at--about a 40 on the receiver's volume meter--doesn't push the speakers to use too much wattage.) Oh yes, I also plug everything into a good surge protectors and regulators.

Anyways, I am looking to expand my system soon. I would like to upgrade my subwoofer and then... My receiver has options for an extra set of speakers, and I was thinking of getting some floor speakers to fill out the sound. In addition to movies, I listen to a lot of opera--I especially love my Wagner--and I feel like there are layers in the mid to lower mid range that my current system is missing, or not adequately handling.

I was thinking about getting a pair of Polk TSi 300s. At first glance, they seem to be just what I'm looking for to fill in the gaps. The subwoofer would come sometime after that.

Does anyone have advice for other speakers that I should consider? Or does anybody see some technical trouble brewing that I'm missing?

Thanks,
RR

I would go with Monitor 60's instead. You'll get them much cheaper (check Newegg.com) and you get three drivers instead of two.
    TV: 65" Samsung QLED 4K
    Fronts: Energy RC70 --- Center: Energy RC-LCR
Front Heights: Polk RC65i --- Rears: Polk RC85i --- Sub: Power Sound Audio XS15
    Pioneer VSX-1120K --- Parasound HCA-1000A --- Oppo BDP-103
Vincent Audio SA31 preamp --- Teac UD301 DAC
AIYIMA Tube T7 preamp --- Nobsound 12AX7 tube preamplifier

I agree with ROHfan on looking at newegg. Monitor series II from new egg and TSI's are Very similar.

Your best buy at this price range would be to buy RTI 4's from J&R music world for 149.00.
They are a step up from either line you are looking at and they sound great. I bought 2 pair cause they sound so good. Don't let the size fool you, The RTI line is sweet and come with a real wood cabinet.
