explain b&w design

I was tooling around the i-net and brought up B & W and was just amazed at their designs.How does this out of body tweeter compare to the usual in cabinet designs and how really good are these speakers. I know there are various models so lets say the 804s for example and full knowing that speakers are very subjective , is this the way to go.At first w/o hearing these I just thought what dust collectors these tweeters must be , but they do sell and their owners love them.Also throw in cost compared to others speakers.

If you have a chance, on the same lines of the b&W check out JM Labs.
Some of the b&w sounds fantastic and some you can do way better for the $. Some thing the b&w sound dry, some say bright,... Everyones ears are different. Are they worth it, yes and no. I go used a lot so you dont take the huge hit on depreciation. In that aspect, yes they are worth it if you like them because the upper lines of the B&W will hold their value in the used market.Klipsch The Nines, Audioquest Thunderbird Interconnect, Innuos Zen MK3 W4S recovery, Revolution Audio Labs USB & Ethernet, Border Patrol SE-I, Audioquest Niagara 5000 & Thunder, Cullen Crossover II PC's.
