Warrior Dash!

Has anyone on here ran in the Warrior Dash? I ran it this past weekend with my gf and a bunch of other friends as well. We ran mostly together as a group, so I didn't worry about training for it, as I knew that my gf's 6'4" dad who weighs around 300 pounds would provide a nice plodding pace:smile: I used to run cross country in track, but hadn't ran in about 10 years. The breaks we took every so often definitely was a help, but it was still a bear of a course. Tons of mud and hellacious hills!

I'll be doing it again next year with her because we had a ton of fun doing it. There are all kinds of people dressed up in ridiculous outfits...myself included...and plenty of beer to go 'round!!! Anyone else ran one of these before?

I have never participated in this event but looks like alot of fun. I may try this in the future. I do participate in the Wounded Warrior project though. Check out my buddy Jeremy Soles (Team X-T.R.E.M.E)who completed a marathon and triathlon in a gas mask to raise funds for them. He is now in the Guiness book for that.
    Everything matters. That is all.
Money cannot buy happiness, but it sure can buy a bad **** boat to pull up along side it though.

My brother just did it and loved it, but he had to fit it in between his half Ironmans...

I bet it was a lot easier for him than me then. I'm actually in pretty good shape, but I'm not in running a 5k with a bunch of obstacles shape. There were 2 in Ohio this year and my g/f did the first one while I begrudgingly attended to give her my endless support:rolleyes: I was really glad I went with her though because she had a blast and it looked fun enough for me to volunteer to do this last one.

She was very proud of her dad making it through though. Actually, we all were very proud of him. He goes to the gym, but his cardio workouts aren't too strenuous, so we didn't know how he would do.
