Come on, "Archer" is one of the funniest shows on TV. And nothing?
I read several days ago about Emmy snubs of many TV shows simply because they are not the right "type", i.e police procedural shows, etc. Frankly, if these people can't even be objective about the type of shows that get considered, why even give the awards out? -
Holleywood just loves to give themselves awards. You can't go 2 months without one award show to honor themselves. As far as Louie and Wilfred....they have momments but are far and few between. Pretty much stupid brain dead tv you watch when nothing else is on.
Now Archer....thats funny stuff right there.HT SYSTEM-

I think Louie is an extremely well-written show, but definitely far too dark a comedy for the general populace. Though I really appreciate the episodes I've seen, it seems to put me in a foul mood afterward. "Cynical" does not even begin to do it justice... Wilfred is somewhat in the same vein, but is still definitely a niche offering.
It's Always Sunny... had me snorting in spasms of glee last night. "A touch of consumption" uttered by Charlie in a Texas drawl had me in convulsions.I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore -

Archer is definitely the most consistently funny show out there, but calling Louie hit or miss hurts my soul. That show is brilliant - not always funny, but always... thoughtful.
I know, to each his own. :biggrin:If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
It's not just the Emmy's that suck, but most major awards shows do as well...
The Grammy's, all the MTV award shows... -
Definitely agree with everyone on Archer. My favorite show by far, second only to Firefly."Dr Dunn admitted that his research could also be interpreted as evidence that women are shallower than men. He said: "Let's face it - there's evidence to support it."Best Buy is for people who don't know any better. Magnolia is for people who don't know any better and have more money to spend.
