ok i just added the axon true caps , how long is the breakin process for the sonic caps, axon true caps and mills resitors. i notice less static and more clarity . i also notice the upper driver and lower are slightly down a few db , 2 db.i am using a db meter anyone know if this will go away ( meaning louder )after break in .

There should not be a 2db difference. What kind of meter are you using? Were the mic and speaker positions untouched before and after the mods, anything in the immediate area around the mic or speaker moved too? There are a lot of variables, especially if you're using a Rat Shack meter.

ok i did a different test, i tested on my onkyo speaker calibration setup screen , they are both 90db even , i was testing on a song, maybe thats not the best way to test it. i am a little inpatient, acon true caps only have 1 hour and sonic caps have 18 hours on them.

Relax, and enjoy them as they're breaking in.

I did a top to bottom LSi15 upgrade for someone, caps, coils, and resistors. It was a nice difference.

LOL... Glad you got it figured out buddy. It's amazing (and kinda sad) how much of a negative effect the stock xovers have on these speakers in comparison to aftermarket components. A couple hundred bucks turns them into a speaker that runs circles around the OEM version.

I think Polk should release upgraded crossover for enthusiasts. Of course they wouldn't do that for many reasons ;)

And newsman, that would've made our lives too easy, and would've made these speakers too good haha. When are you gonna mod yours?

I'd be happy to pay for an upgrade kit/package if Polk made one available?
