Where do you DIY cable guys buy those nice rubber boots for the terminated ends of speaker cable?? Anyone recall? They have the two rubber "fingers" for the left and right.....ring a bell? Monster Cable uses them on their cables if that helps job the noggin'.
I'm terminating a set of Cobra Cable for a Polkie and didn't like the look of my first set and thought I may use those boots and see how that looks.

CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I like that parts express calls them "cable pants"
They look good; I think I'm going to try them on some cables I need to reterminate.
But why do they sell them in packs of 10?! You'd think it would be packs of 4 or 8 etc; I guess that would make too much sense.
Slight derail: what's the best heat-shrink tape stuff that comes in black and red? What about the best bananas?
I'll just poke around PE and see what they got.2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

haha no, and they're cheap enough that it really doesn't matter... I'll probably just use the extra two for finger puppets or something...2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

if you're like myself they'll get used or tossed into my "something later" box and sure enough I'd be one short later

I love having a good "something later" box. I'm constantly supplying friends with this or that because they lack their own "extras" box.2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

Does anyone else have some PE needs as I'd hate to pay that much damn shipping on something that actually costs $1 to ship. Man, that's my biggest gripe with them is shipping costs. They claim it's warehouse and stocking of their catalog that causes the fees to be more inline with heavier packages, when ordering smaller items.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. I hear ya! Ridiculous and I always try and gather a larger order. I don't need anything right at the moment.

I was going to try some tubes from them and get some RCA plugs, but shipping them to you wouldn't save me shipping costs at all...
Nice choice as the PE ones are great and I've used them for the past few years. Which ones are you looking at? I have way too many of the below version, and would have no issues sending you some if they are the ones you need.

The tails on them look really long and length of the core cable is at a premium. I'm torn on what but I'm certainly not plugging Knuconcepts boots unless that crappy name comes off with GoofOff.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. I believe one of the guys at AVSFORUM got his to come off with rubbing alcohol.
They are more expensive, but I know Audioquest makes pairs. They make bi-wire and regular ones. The ends are marked but they look better IMHO.
Each end is marked either speaker or amp I think.
Plus I think you can fit a bigger gauge wire in them, but cant totally vouch for that."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -

Too bad I don't need anything from there right now or else I could pick them up for you since I live about 2 hours from them.:redface:I love animals, they're delicious!
