Hey all,

I'm finally ready to part with my 1Cs. I've owned them for about 3 years. They're in nearly perfect condition. The only flaw is a small coffee ring on one of the caps (see photo).

They have the original SL2000 tweeters, upgraded crossovers with mills resistors and Clarity Cap capacitors.

All of the drivers are original and in great shape.

I have the original pin/blade interconnect cable and the original cardboard boxes for shipping.

Also, they're not shown in the photos but the grills are all in perfect condition.

I'd like to get $500 for these. They really are in VERY good condition.

Local pickup in Pittsburgh is preferred. I'm open to shipping at the buyer's cost (AND RISK!!)

    Very nice, you will be sorry when you lose them. I've heard there are many ways to eliminate that water ring. Check it out first but I believe it was something like baking soda and water spread over the blemish for a few minutes then wipe off. Not totally sure so look it up first before trying. The 1C's are a very awesome speaker. Best of luck!

    I'd just hardwood them and scoff at those that think you live in the West Indies for warpage....unless you do actually live in high humidity, then listen to those dudes. I've done 6 pairs in hardwood variations with no complaints but that doesn't discount the idea. Do what you want, I don't care.

    It's probably the best SDA of the smaller series, bar none. I've owned a couple and their wanna be bigger brothers.

    SDA is in this order....SDA CRS+, SDA1C(No Studios ****), SDA SRS 2, SDA 2.3TL. You can giggle about some other models but that's where I've actually heard real magic.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    That's an interesting list, Doro. It also seems to correspond to a lot of what I've read by 'owners' of those very models? Hmmmmmmm!

    In any case, the 1Cs above are primo at a good price. If I were closer, I'd be on them. But Pittsburgh is even far from where I used to live in the Lehigh Valley, many years ago.

    Plus, currently, my SDA 2Bs live in the closet because I just don't have enough 'space' for that darned SDA effect! So for now...it's some other 'vintage' Kloss speakers on the floor down there--in the basement, that is.

    Thanks for the comments all. The ring mark isn't nearly as noticeable in person as it is in the photo.

    Just a plug for your sale - I've got the same speakers. They are fantastic. The buyer of these will not be upset.
    Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

    Will someone please buy these before I feel compelled to drive to Pittsburgh and buy them? $500 for the speakers with crossovers already redone...argh...I feel a road trip coming...
    Current polk speakers:
    Family room 5.1: TC265i R/L, VM10 Center, RC65i surrounds (couldn't match the TCs)
    Basement non-dedicated 7.1 HT: SDA-CRS+ R/L, 255c-LS Center, LSiFX surrounds, RC80i in-ceiling rear surround, plus Wharfedale 12" sub (some day I'll get around to building 15" F-20 sub).

    I am out of the country for about 3 weeks (until the end of October) so I'm going to suspend this sale.
