Midwest Speaker put these togethr. Good place for speaker repair. I know some of the tweeters have been replaced as two of them are ones I gave them. Little high on price. keith

I bought them for $440.00 plus tax. 20% off the $550 they wanted. The spiders behind all eight drivers were inspected and repaired and x-overs checked out. The walnut is in nice shape. Only the very bottom bases are a little beat up. All drivers function perfectly, including of course the SDA tweeters and 6.5 counterparts. Nice to have bought from a repair shop three miles from me (midwestspeaker.com) for pre and any post future work.

Other than blowing the high frequency demensional array fuses, because I hooked them up to mono blocks, all is well. No damage to speakers (thank goodness for those fuses) and my amps have protection and did shut down. I won't ever make the common ground mistake again. I am currently running them with a Rotel 1062 Integrated and enjoying them very much.

Only catch is (to above post).......no grills. Mystery to whatever happen to those. However, I'll take the full inspection of x-overs, spiders repaired where needed, all four original tweeters found/installed, no distortion issues/functioning properly, both walnut cabs in very good condition and SDA cable mint. Plus, I like the look of them without the grills anyway! I guess that could hurt resale, but I am not selling them anytime soon. I 've wanted a pair of these for 21 years. I've owned my LS-90's for 18 years now purchased new and have also owned for years, but sold, Monitor 12's Series II and Monitor 7's Series II. I also have a pair of RTi A1's.
