I've now received two bad H/K AVR 3600 receivers. I've asked if I could pay the difference for a 7550 but they seem set on not allowing me the chance to upgrade even if I pay the difference. Do they allow exchange only on their ebay store or can I request a refund?

    in the shipping details of ebay..it is stated there if they give refunds/returns..you can send a message to the seller to confirm and ask directly.

    MDA posted the link with all the info already - "We will issue a refund or exchange less freight charges as long as the request is made within 30 days of the shipping date, the merchandise is returned in the same condition as it was when shipped.... yadda yadda yadda"

    I would say if they are sending him replacements, he is within the 30 days and entitled to a refund. There is probably some administrative reason they won't just do an upgrade - you probable have to request a refund for the original 3600, and purchase the 7550 in a seperate transaction.

    This is what they tell me to do if I decide I want an upgrade. Here's hoping the 3rd unit won't be bad :frown:
