Based on both teams' performance, I definitely expect both of them to be in the playoffs this year.

Both offenses did a great job, and it was nice to see the Packers take control of the game.

Great game, kudos to the Saints for not letting it be a blowout!

If it wasn't for Sproles it would've been a blow out. He played outstanding.

Very true, although I have to give it to Brees too. He really played a great game when he needed to.

A great game, I go for the Cowboys and anyone playing the Packers

I thought the Saints offense was awesome, against any other team last night they would've stomped it, very impressive!

If the Packers can get there running game going they'll be unstoppable. Rodgers had a lot on his plate last season not having a running game but they still managed to win the Superbowl. Also good to see one of the best TE's in the game come back.

OK maybe its me, but both defenses looked terrible. Brees threw for 420 yards and Rogers threw for close 330. Neither looked good on defense, and thats the reason why Green Bay won the superbowl last year and new orleans won 2 years ago. Green Bay had one of the best defenses in the league last year and their corners played huge in the playoffs and superbowl. The year New Orleans won, they led the league in takeways. They looked great on offense last night but that want win neither of them a superbowl.

The Packers defense gave up 27 points against the highest scoring offense they're likely to face the rest of the year, lest they both meet up again at some point. New Orleans got great field position on punts from Sproles. Huge chunks of yardage was put up in a prevent defense at the end of the game, the time when you'll find a team behind putting up "garbage touchdowns." In this case, the Saints came back.

Both teams gave up a special teams touchdown.

I'm not worried about the Packers defensive scheme in the least, they're going to dominate. Dom Capers has all sorts of crazy packages and they weren't all on display last night. I do agree that the tackling sucked. It wasn't like the Packers weren't in position to end most of those plays, because they were.

The only thing that ticked me off was Mike McCarthy taking his foot off the gas. He easily could have gone aggressively for two more touchdowns. The Saints had absolutely no answer for the Packer offense.

Only game one, but this team looks better than last year. Gonna keep the predictions to myself and take it game by game. Anything can happen.

+1 - Great post - Packers O and D lines are dominant with highly skilled athletes behind them.

Finnley was amazing last night, so happy to see him back.

Lets all be realistic here, what I saw was 2 high powered offenses, and only one defense, that belonged to the Packers. The Saints defense was always a step behind, almost the whole game. If they don't make some adjustments quick, they may not make the playoffs.....and I like the Saints.

Was it the saints defense that sucked or was the offense just that good?

Granted, I'm not a Packers fan per say, but credit where credit is due. The Packers came out playing like the Superbowl was last week. Unfortunately, so did the Saints. Both teams very close in their overall game, but the Packers defense has more tools than the Saints. I think lack of talent on the defensive side of the ball will bury the Saints. That is, if you want to reach Superbowl caliber. Other teams are getting better and the Packers and Saints may find a tougher road this year. One other thing that bothered me with the game was Breeze....he didn't seem like he was making good decisions as expected from a QB of his caliper. He seemed rushed, tried making stupid plays out of nothing instead of throwing the ball away. I also thought they didn't manage the clock well, not as well as the Packers anyway. Just my own critique of the game, yours of coarse may vary.
