I did too, very nicely done, especially when the owner turned him loose and he still came back and wouldn't leave his side.

I signed a petition to have 'Sirius' the yellow lab bomb sniffing dog's name to be added to the memorial wall. I don't know if it was or not. He was in a kennel in the basement of the south tower and didn't survive.

According to the 9/11 Memorial Guide, Sirius' name is not on the Memorial. Sirius' name deserves to be on the Memorial. There is a dog run, however, named after Sirius in his honor.

For those who don't know, Sirius was the only police dog to die in the 9/11 attacks at the WTC. Sirius was the bomb detection dog stationed at the WTC when it was attacked.

Thanks for posting that, I remember seeing Tara, because she looked just like another dog I used to have, great to see her still around. I wasn't aware of that book, I'm getting that for my Mom for Christmas
