Should Amp be off when Using Phase Switch?

Sorry for what maybe silly questions to others, but I'm a newbie with subs...

Can I use the PSW111 sub Phase Switch with my amp playing something? Or is it better to switch amp off first, set Phase Switch and then on again?

TIA

I've never had problems leaving the sub on when messing with the phase switch.

In fact, you want it on because you want to compare your sub's bass with your tower/front speaker's bass while music's playing to make sure they're all in phase.

Out of phase, your speakers and sub will 'compete' against each other and cancel out bass frequencies. You'll know when they're in phase when the bass is more 'pronounced'.

Make sure it is level before changing phase. Otherwise a time/space worm hole can occur, which will suck you, and your house, into another dimension.
