A friend just bought one of these, it looks very beefy

Has anyone heard or heard of them? Any ideas about output power? Bridgeable, rated for low ohm loads?

It's apparently built in the late 70's by some guys in a garage in the UK. Not much info online for them, thanks in advance

I've been able to find out very little about these amps either. I've tried emailing the company, posting on various forums, etc...but not much to be found. I've just made some cords to hook up the amp to see if it even works and it does. From what I can tell, it outputs about 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms. I think the 800 in 800b means it will ouput 800 watts in mono mode into probably 4 ohms. Based on the driver and output transistors it uses, this seems about right. It does sound a little "thin" compared to my recently upgraded and modified Phas Linear 400, but I think they are pretty much the same in terms of output power.

I'm looking for another one if your friend, or whomever wants to sell one. I am going to modify this one and do some upgrading... I also have to find a replacement power switch as the lamp is burned out, as are the lights in the meters. If you learn anything, please let me know.. You'd think there would be more info available, but apparently not...

Hey Stuee.......I just realized I'm responding to your post about MY amp....I hope I can help myself !!!! L O L

Who the 'eff are you to question me about posting in a thread? I posted something relevant and then realized the thread was dead so I deleted it. That OK with you? Or do I have to clear everything through your highnASS
