I am listening to the Redbook side of it -

But I will go ahead and say that track 6 is absolutely breath taking experience of an auditory roller coaster.

There was actually sometimes I would swear I was meditating.

Thanks Mark for sharing this disc with me - it surprised me...

I made it all the way to track 7 before my dogs demanded food...

Definitely a sit through... :)

Not discounting your take on it, but man I'm SO tired of DSOTM reviews. There are so many other Floyd albums that will make you mess your flat hat. This is like one of those scenarios where if you like the radio play (dsotm), venture further and hear the real deal PF.

    Cheers,
    Russ

I can listen to Meddle, WYWH, and Animals over and over though. I pre-ordered the Immersion sets for DSOTM and WYWH, so looking fwd to that.

I can't listen to DSOTM very often, though I did the umm...trippy listen a few weeks ago - just from "Us and Them" fwd.

"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

No, but I've been very curious. I've read play-by-play descriptions.

Until I see it for myself, my opinion doesn't carry any weight, but personally I think this is just an acid-induced coincidence.

I've seen it many times (and I've never done an illegal drug in my life). I must say, if you get the timing perfect by starting the album right after the third roar (you need to have the correct speed on your CD/SACD player and DVD/Blu-Ray player) that it is amazing how much the audio and video sync up. The timing of when you start the album is critical though!! The more times you watch it, the more things you notice of how well they are synced. Everyone should try it, I would suggest sober and not high as that is how I've done it and you probably would be more amazed than if you are drunk and high.

    agreed keiko.

Thanks to your link, i watched several scenes with music, and i must say, im dissapointed, during my mexican tobacco days, many times i would have the stereo on and the tv on but turned down.

Its amazing how many times the video and music would match up if in the right frame of mind and couch stuck, staring and listening intently.

The normal concentration level just does not allow the connection for me.

heightened pleasure from audio and video as a side effect from a hypnotic plays a part.

Maui wowee anyone?, my hand is up keiko.
