hello all,
I was curious about who has replaced their stock speaker stand floor spikes on their LSi15's. The stock ones seem a little flimsy/maybe .
Are there any replacement spikes that are exact fits?
Or do replacement spikes require drilling a new hole in the bottom of the speakers(Yikes)??

A bunch of us just bought these spikes (I use them on my LSi 15's)

I got some from Parts Express (partsexpress.com). You can obviously get better, but these work for me. I THINK these are the ones I got: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=240-715

No drilling, they screw right in. I had problems with one of mine, but it did eventually work.

    Hey PSOVLK,
can you post a pic of the spikes on the speakers.
Were they an exact fit, removing the old spikes and **** in the new ones.
    And no drilling.
    Thanks

    Hey guys,
what is the thread size for the LSi15 stock&replacement spikes?
    M6(6mm) or M8(8mm)?

Or is the thread size in non-metric US sizes?
I just emailed Polk, hopefully they'll be able to tell me exactly what size they are.

I'll see if I can post some pics tomorrow. Been having trouble posting pics on the forum, so if doesn't work I can e-mail them to you.

Yes, mine were an exact fit. As I mentioned, one of mine didn't fit very well, but it was just an issue with the threading.

I emailed Polk and they stated the thread size was 1/4-20 for the LSI15.
Is that the size you bought?

Polk Thread Size - 1/4-20, for almost every Polk loudspeaker alive today.

The solid brass spikes from Meniscus Audio, or MyeSound fit perfectly.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

If you have hard surface, I would recommend Black Diamond Racing Cones, you can buy a thread stud in any hardware store, and they are prethreaded with the same 1/4-20 thread. They are made from composite and back so look really good under LSi base.

On the carpet they don't work so good, because they have a round tip. So now I'm back to the stock needles

Mye Sound website says they no longer have cones with 1/4-20 thread...

Yeah, sorry, you're correct. He no longer makes them. I forgot.
