Thanks Steve!

Dawgfish just drove down 90 miles (one way!) to drop off his MLs that I was gonna buy. To our surprise when we hooked them up, the mids didn't work on the right speaker. I couldn't justify the purchase knowing the cost of replacement for the stator and maybe XO. I offered to pay him for his time/gas and he refused. Not only that, but he gave me the speakers! I still can't believe it. This has got to be the best karma ever. The only thing that Steve asked was that I return the favor and give some Karma to another CP member sometime down the road.

Thanks again!

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Dawgfish(Steve) - Send me your address as I'm going to send you some Polk goodies for the incredible resolution here and your sacrifice. PM me offline please.

This is a great example of what we do for one another here folks. I assure you that it doesn't happen elsewhere, like it does here.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

So the perfect ADS 1290 I gave away elsewhere doesn't count? Boo.

A nice gesture to be sure. He could have taken his broken speakers home, and been stuck with them. He quickly realized that giving them away would be a lot better than having them hang around his house forever. Can't sell them as operating perfectly, I would have done the same thing.

I didn't see that thread George, show me. If you mean Audio Karma, yeah, but I can only work magic from my homebase. I'm a heretic over there.
