6DJ8/6922 tubes

I'm looking for some single 6DJ8 tubes to roll into my Yagin CD-1. Used tubes with good life left would be great. Looking for Amperex, Siemens, Mullard, etc. that would be a step up from the 70's Sylvania 6DJ8 I'm currently using. An Amperex orange globe A-frame or other tubes in that price range would be ideal.

I have a single, Gold Lion 6922 if you are interested. To me they are the best new, production 6922s and have a very detailed sound.



Rolling single tubes is very fun and a lot cheaper than most of us can get away with.

I'll check my stash. I think I sold everything that fit it when I sold mine, but there might be something in my collection. That is a mighty fine little buffer and responds well to rolling.

Darn, I'm tapped out. I looked through my notes and remember a nice Amperex Bugle Boy (Holland) 6922/6DJ8/E88CC was my favorite tube in that unit. I sold everything equivalent with the buffer as a package deal. Good Luck.

Well, thanks for looking inspiredsports. Glad to hear you liked the BB in the CD-1, as I think I will have one on the way for it soon! I've only had the CD-1 for about a week, but I'm really loving it so far. It definitely adds a warmth and realism to my cheap HRT DAC, and it throws up a much deeper image.

Zingo, thank you also. Let me do a little research on the Gold Lion. I'm mostly looking for older stuff, but I'll pm you if I think it's going to work for me.

I too have a Yaqin buffer and would love to roll a tube or two. If Tbone doesn't need your Bugle Boy and you're willing to part with it, please send me a PM. I've only tried a couple tubes so far.
