Thinking, but not sure I want to drive a couple hours to look at something that was dragged behind the truck for a few miles. And the pushed in cones would drive me batty, I'd have to replace them if I couldn't pull them out.

I saw them when they were listed. I have been so satisfied with my SDA 2.3 since upgrading them that it would take a pretty good deal for me to change. I would be willing to help you load them Tim:biggrin: Norwood should only be about a 20 minute trip for me.

Somebody grab these things. If I still lived in Indy, they would have been restored by now and in my living room.

If I had 2.3's I would not get them either.

Don't be tempting me like this!

    Ugh....the temptation, the peer pressure...

Please excuse me whilst I bang my head into the gravel in the middle of the road.

I live about 40 miles from this guy. If I bought these my wife's overies would fall out and then her head would explode.

That said, I could save her this awful fate if I sold my stuff first. I am not sure I want to part with my new score (see sig) in order to snag these. I have never heard them, and am a neophyte at mods and restoration.

To boot, I only have an Elite and a 150wpc kenwood amp (on its way) to power these.

But it sure would be nice to have these in my room!

Just some insight:smile: I have looked at these.
These are 1.2's, there are probably 8 dust caps pushed in, 3 tweeters are toast, (physically) one of the wood end caps is missing, the wood is rough, the cloth is in need of replacement.
I did not get to hear them as they were not hooked up.
If I recall correctly these were used in a high traffic, high use environment (read semi-public).
I'm sure someone with the knowledge and skills can turn them into show pieces but in my limited knowledge in this area they are going to require quite a bit of work.

    Your welcome:smile:
Also while I'm at it, quite a few of the posts (for the grills) are broken off and no IC cable, flunked press test.

It's been a while since I looked at them but I don't remember there being any issues with them, ie no wrinkles.
