4 or 8 ohm to RM 6600 speakers

Just read a note from Polk Customer Service suggesting a 4 ohm setup with a Sony Receiver to a set of RM6000's.
I have the RM6600 system (+ PSW 350 sub), and am running it from a Yamaha RX-V692 receiver which has 75w + 75w RMS Output power (main) and 75w RMS (centre) and 40w + 40w (rears).
On the rear of the unit, there is facility to switch between 4 and 8 ohms.
In the Upper position, it advises the impedence of the rear speakers must be 6 ohms or higher, centre same, and fronts must be 4 ohms or higher.
In the lower position, the rear impedence must be 8 ohms or higher, centre same, and fronts 8 ohms or higher.
I have assumed the lower position for the impedence switch was correct. However, I would appreciate some more accurate advise from customer service.

Yeah, Im confused about the switch, too. Which is which? Appreciate some advice as to which way to switch, 4 or 8 ohms? I have the RM6600 with a Sony SAW40 subwoofer connected to a Yamaha 5460.

Hi:
What is the impedance of the speakers? They are probably 6 or 8.
If they are 8, go with the lower position. If they are 6 go with the high position.
