in the Northwest we don't have "weird" or big bugs.. which I'm happy about..

but on my bike ride today I saw thing odd fellow on the sidewalk. he was on his back so I turned him over and took it's picture.

the big yellow belly looks like a bee, but the front half of him/it looks like a queen grasshopper or something. either way, I poked it with a stick and ran like a little girl..
PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

Very cool looking bug. Glad you set it free.

Don't know why a lot of people's first response is to kill a bug as soon as you see it. Says a lot about our species I guess. We would not be here without our little friends, like it or not.

Ya'll have some strange crap up there, come down here and see ours

We had a wolf spider as big as my hand in the kitchen last month after a storm, Dale says he thought he killed it and it fell behind the stove, I stayed at Moms for the rest of the weekend, I was terrified it would crawl out with two broken legs dragging behind it looking for revenge on the hurter
