Thinking to buy the Monitor 70s
Newegg is having a heck of a sale on Monitor 70 speakers. 179!
I think I am going to buy a pair to replace my M20s. The Monitor 60s are are on sale as well but for the price I think I'm going to go for the 70s.
I have a psw10 sub and OWM3s for surrounds. What should I do with the M20s? I think they are a little to big to go behind the couch!
Thoughts?
I have a 5.1 setup. Yamaha receiver. Mainly these will be used for home theater.
Thanks,
Justin

I'd say the 20's should be fine for surround duty, and they will match the sound of the fronts. I've got 40's for my surrounds.65" Sony X900 (XBR-65X900E)
Pioneer Elite SC-37
Polk Monitor 70's (2)
Polk Monitor 40's (4)
Polk Monitor CS2
Polk DSW Pro 660wi
Oppo BDP-93
Squeezebox Duet
Belkin PureAV PF60

I think I may stick with the OWM3s. Not enough room for the M20s. Might just sell them.
Should I change the setting to large for the M70s? -

No, not for Home Theater use. You probably will want to listen to them full-range (large) with music though, without the sub.
EDIT: I see that you're using a PSW10. You might want to go with your ears on this decision then, as the PSW10 isn't going to gain you much in the low frequencies. Try setting the 70's to large, then to small with different crossover settings and decide which works best. I would definitely set them to large for music though. If you were using a more powerful sub, then I would go with the small setting for HT.2.1: PC>Schiit Gungnir MB>Schiit Freya Noval>NAD C-270>Ascend Acoustics Sierra-1, HSU STF-2 5.1: HDMI Bitstream>Denon AVR-1910>polkaudio RTE55, CS350-LS, RT3, HSU STF-2, Visio M55-F0 -
Tbone is right. Large for Music, definitely. I own a set so I can confirm that. However I do not run them on 'small' for HT as I have adequate power to drive them.
The rule of thumb is set everything to small to save on power to drive them and with your Yamaha (which is probably an entry or mid grade AVR) that's a good idea!
Enjoy!
