Sonic Frontiers Power 2 tube amplifier (Black)

I have a Sonic Frontiers Power 2 amp I'd like to consider selling locally in the DC area. I'm not likely to use it any time soon, and it's too good an amp to let sit. Local pickup only because I no longer have the boxes for this and it weighs around 110 lbs. Should be able to drive just about any speaker load. It's not a common ground amp. Chris Johnson former company owner and now of Partsconnexion in Canada still provides support and upgrades for these. If there's no local interest, I'll probably keep it.
Asking price is $1400.
It's been in storage for the last couple years. It has 8 practically new SED Winged C 6550 power tubes (retail now around $440 for the power tubes alone). This is a relatively high powered tube amp at 100+ watts per channel. New signal tubes too. Probably around 60 hours total on the tubes. It will also run KT88 tubes if you'd like a different flavor.
If there is any local interest, let me know. Pics available on request, but I would advise taking a look at it in person as it is a very large and heavy amp. It's a solid 8/10 on the Audiogon scale including the tube cage. The two carrying handles on the rear appear to be slighly bent inwards. Probably from previous shipping, and don't affect performance at all. No noticeable scratches on it.
Payment by PayPal/cash or personal check if you're a known member on the forum.
For those not familiar, this is what it looks like without its tube cage in place:

I'm a big Sonic Frontiers/Anthem fan and this is a wonderful amplifier. I've also known Emlyn for a long time, know he takes very good care of his gear and keeps it top notch all he way thru the rare sale of it.
It's not often you find support of older products, Polk being the obvious exception, but Chris Johnson defines back end product support. In addition to that simplicity, he's also an often overlooked amplifier/preamplifier designer with solid street credentials.
If you're looking for a getting your feet wet kind of amp, this is it in spades. It's got great tone, warm and low key soundstage and the guts are not just pcb. One of my favorite tube amplifiers.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -

Sorry, it's no longer available for sale.
Figured I should stop selling things I'd only want to buy back again! -
Too bad....you'd have to spend a great deal more today to get 100 watts of pure tube goodness. I'll second Mark's feelings on Sonic Frontiers amps, had a few myself way back and still kick myself in the **** for selling them off.HT SYSTEM-
