I guess dead bodies now are a problem. Cremation in the traditional sense anyway. Kinda cool idea though. Wonder if you can turn grandma into a milkshake.

One thing that gets me though, is they site mercury in amalgam as being a problem when it vaporizes in a traditional cremation. Call me crazy, but mercury is OK when it's in my mouth, but in the air I have to worry about it killing me ?? How about mercury shouldn't be in amalgam period, which I think today it isn't, but people have had this stuff in their mouths for generations.

That machine looks like an overgrown Maytag, no ? Hmmm, don't try this at home all you Dexter want-a-bee's.

Mercury is a toxic substance. Is it a great thing to use for cavities? Well, there are debates about that...since mercury compounds were what worked: Before anyone thought to research any deleterious effects they became the standard. And the new fillings are mercury free? So who knows. Has there even been a study of health problems and mercury based fillings? I don't know but there are a whole group of health nuts who are religiously replacing all their old fillings. Personally, I don't have enough info to enter that debate.

But I highly doubt the statistics reported in this article. 16 percent? I don't think so.

The argument in the article seems a little overblown to me.

In the old days Candyliquor35 would have this thread shut down because of his mercury rantings...........sometimes I miss those days.

What, are we 2 years old ? Same story 2 different sites, big frickin' deal.
We did cover this before, didn't we ?

Can't see mercury being of any benefit in your mouth, thats for sure. Maybe thats why some say their teeth tingle when the weather changes.
I guess same thing with flouride in toothpaste applies.

Yeah 16% as stated in the article I have to call B.S. too. You'd have to have big bonfires of dead bodies all over to even make a dent in the numbers. One thing it states is that the teeth remain after the liquidfying process, if I read that correctly. Then how do you dispose of the mercury filled teeth after that ? They don't say. How about yankin those teeth before cremation, wouldn't that solve the problem ?

Web sites succeed by getting pageviews so they can show advertising to a wide audience.

Clicking through a site whose very existence you disagree with is promoting that site and thus their agenda.

It's not rocket science. I guarantee you have avoided a Huffington Post story for this exact reason.
