The fanbase for MIT cables started back in 2004 and was in a demo "program" format way before they became involved many years later. If anything, they should be thanking F1Nut(Jesse) for leading the way since he's the first Polkie to advocate them as a brand publically, explain the way they worked and offer in-house demos for close friends. It subsequently turned me onto them and was the impetus for the creation of the Polk Audio Cable Swap Program which lasted for about 2.5 years. Then some cables were never returned, ala stolen and the program was shut down.

MIT Cables has a long history and association with Club Polk and Polk Audio. They continue that support thru multiple audio shows like Capital Audiofest from MIT commandos like Joe Abrams, and the current offering in-house that was again, started by CP membership, Ricardo.

Aside from Signal Cable, the bar standard of Club Polk manufacturer support, they are well received and a welcome addition to our little coven of audiophiles.

Hey MIT....how about creating a discount code for us when we, or anyone purchases your cables? Just ask Joe Abrams(Equus Audio) how many cables have been sold thru him since we started the relationship years ago, based on 3 ppl(Joe, doro & F1) talking via email? You folks owe us to be quite honest and a discount code or anagram for special deals that everyone could use would immortalize Club Polk in stone. Perhaps call it the "Polkie" code for St. Patricks Day bargains and closeouts. Gavin....are you listening? You've also been a welcome and motivated watcher....time to get involved man, get your boots dirty in our house.

Drop a message to Mark, owner of www.meniscusaudio.com and ask him about the power of our user base in regards to buying stuff. We don't play around and this bunch is always ready to pay to play if the product is right.

    Just some history.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Agreed, it's good audio and good press/pub all the way around, for all involved.

And to think how many thousands of dollars are spent on other avenues of marketing, compared to what has been done with a program like this for the price of postage.

THAT is grass roots at its core.

agreed. It gives you a chance to demo a product that really you couldn't do anywhere else. With the fact that brick and motar dealers are dying out its next to impossible to get anything like this on demo.

My dealer said I could take home some Nordost cables for demo for like 3 days and he's over 2 hours away. Plus have my CC charged the full price of the cables the day I walk out the door. IMO the price of postage is a breeze compared to everything you would have to go thru otherwise and sometimes the added preasure to purchase something if you demo from a dealer. This is just natural and easy and I'm happy to pay for the postage on these.

    That's pretty cool.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I would have replied much sooner.

Very Cool. Joe is a great guy to deal with. Jesse turned me on to the cables and MIT delivers.
