MartinLogan Motion 4's
Thoughts? I saw them at a BB Magnolia but didn't have a chance to hear them (was too busy listening to the ML Theos 8"). They're relatively cheap at ~$250, but has anyone else heard them?

I think the problem with the motion series is the plastic cabinets they used on the motion 2,4,6 and 8's .I like the sound of the folded motion with the 12's because they have a dipole mid woofer and to accompany it and it really sounds great. The smaller speakers dont have great bass and are not really bright but instead quite sharp for music and I find them fatiguing on the ears
If you wana go small on the logans then you can find martin logan encores for around $130 used . I bought some on ebay and dont think they are as fatiguing as the smaller motion series and they have a very nice large wood cab to reinforce the bass .ML must have taken a loss on the encore and thats why they stopped making them so quick as they sounded great for small speakers and you got alot for $200 a pop -
Alright, so I'll take a listen, but will likely scratch them off. How about Bowers and Wilkins DM601's? Someone is offering them for $250 a pair locally (Also selling a Yamaha DSP-A1 for $950, not going to buy that though).Home:
