Yamaha HTR-5590 or B&K Reference 10

I need help! I was thinking the B&K was the way to go because I could use it with my Onkyo Integra M504. My P301 preamp is toast, and the Sony DD pre/pro I am currently using I do not like.
I want decent 2 channel but am also wanting decent HT. And the B&K does not decode DTS without an upgrade. Whereas the Yamaha does plus some. But then again the Yamaha does not have preouts.
Both of these units are under the $200 level. I use to buy what I could afford. Now I buy what my wife will allow me to.
I need someone to tell me which one basically! lol

Killer deal - a bit more than your $200, but not too much of a stretch and it is one fine unit...not affiliated
There are some good deals to be had used even on your local CL.
Just saying...

Sadly that is out of my range right now. I have not found anything interesting on my local CL either. These 2 units are owned by members here.--Gary--

If I hadn't just bought a new HT receiver I'd make a reasonable offer on this one. I just may anyway:biggrin:TO ERR IS HUMAN. TO FORGIVE IS CANINE. -

The LMC-1 I have for sale would be a better fit for you in my opinion. Volume knob doesn't work, so may be a deal breaker. For me it's a tough call between the Yammie and the B&K. FYI, the B&K he's considering is mine too.

It's what I do
Get what's going to work best for you. If it's one of my units, great. If not, that's okay too.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -
I'll let you and Allen know something for sure by this coming Sunday afternoon.
Thanks again!--Gary--
