Curious about the Def Tech center... I'm currently using a Polk CS2 with Polk Monitor 10's or 7's depending on my mood so I don't have a consistent front stage anyways. How would you rate the Def Tech compared to the polk and would it be such a different sound as to be distracting? It's a great price so I am interested but hesitant.2-ch System: Parasound P/LD 2000 pre, Parasound HCA-1000 amp, Parasound T/DQ Tuner, Phase Technology PC-100 Tower speakers, Technics SL-1600 Turntable, Denon 2910 SACD/CD player, Peachtree DAC iT and X1asynchorus USB converter, HSU VTF-3 subwoofer.

The Def Tech will be very clear and dynamic with plenty of volume but it would not be a bass oriented center channel.
But it would go with the RT series real well.
Just realize it wont be a bass monster. Otherwise the clarity and dynamics of the center will be great.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -

I cant stress the fact that you cant buy speakers at this price that are even close in quality...
These are several notches above the LSi series... on every level.
They are easily right there with the LSiM (if not better) - they use nice mid line Seas Drivers (100 a pop if sold separately) and an intricate crossover that would make your eyes go crosseyed.
They sound incredible but cosmetically they are not the greatest. It is an excellent opportunity to get a great sounding speakers at a great price.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
