PS3 Sound

Hello All!
Thanks again for helping me get my receiver working right, now I have a new problem. I can't get my PS3 to play in surround sound during games like FF13 and Heavy Rain, unless I turn off all the options save AAR, then I seem to get a 5.1 and the rears drop out. If I leave everything else on I lose the center channel completely. So its kind of hard to not have the voices.
If I listen to music, or movies I can get all the speakers going. I looked around the net and no one seemed to have an answer for this but it looks fairly common. In my search the only answer I found was switching it over to AAR in the sound options.
Does anyone else have this issue or know of a solution? Thanks again.
