...a 200' new bridge is needed for the NEW channel that was formed. I road out Hurican BOB in 1991 in Avon...worst winds back then , but not the damage.

Rodanthe Local reports said an inlet 200 feet wide and 8 feet deep had cut
across Hatteras Island north of Rodanthe. About 800 yards of N.C. 12 was mangled
at Mirlo Beach, cutting off the island from the northern Outer Banks.

    well according to Bobman in New hampshire he said 100 times in the other thread he's ok and everyone is making a big deal out of this storm :biggrin:

    I seen that happen in Pensacola Florida to Pensacola beach on multiple occasions. All due to Hurricanes. Ferries will do the work till the roads are restored.

    I realize that. I was more criticizing the LOCAL media, not the national.
