Being a native of Seattle, I saw Heart a couple of times back when Ann Wilson was still a babe (the late 70's).My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

We head out this afternoon for Wickenburg, Az---then roll it in to Vegas Friday morning!
The Mirage was crazy high on their suite this weekend, so we're doing a suite at Treasure Island. I had the wonderful experience of seeing Heart at the Texas jam in 79 or was it 80 .... hhmmm I think Blue oyster cult was the headliner .. I seem to recall the drummer with a gorilla mask on ... didn't really care for the cult .... hhmmm memories .. that's the same jam that van halen were punks & played early in the afternoon
OO yea Heart LOL I remember it like it was yesterday .....the image of the hot chicks playing rock & roll with the wind kicking up & blowing the scantily clad heart sisters veils out towards the crowd ... it was late into the night & they were the next to last band .......crowd was going gonzo ...... I don't think scantily clad would work now But the voice ... ooo the voice is certainly still there -
I bet you enjoyed yourself, I have seen heart a couple of times during the Roger Fisher years, with Michael Deroiser, and Steve Fossen along with the Wilson Sisters when the band was at its best, seen them with the late 80's lineup was not that Impressed, passed on the show at the Iowa state Fair a few weeks ago I heard it was a good one, I did not care for Red Velvet Car so I did not attend, a mistake on my behalf. I just purchased Little Queen and BeBe Le Strange at Best Buy for $4.99 each saw it on the sales add and just picked them up this morning. So who was better Lepperd or heart? I'am guessing Heart.Home Theater

Concert review:
I was really impressed with the performances from Both Heart and Def Leppard. Never did they sound like they were pushing it---or trying to do something they couldn't pull of anymore. The venue however, kinda sucked (MGM Garden Arena). The level was way too HIGH; especially for Hearts' set. So high that most of the music was pushed into serious distortion, and Ann's vocals were barely distinguishable through most of it. It got a little better with Def Leppard, with individual instruments more distinguishable and vocals clear. This really ruined what would have otherwise had been an outstanding concert. We still enjoyed it, but it could have been so much better had they backed off on the volume some. I've been to a lot of concerts, this one was over the top (in a bad way)--volume wise.
Surprising for a Vegas event, as they usually have their act together when comes to big events.
Still, a GREAT time!Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2
