Hello everyone.

I had my polks for about a year and never down on me to join the forum and talk to people about right set up or anything.

I just recently purchased a house and now i can dedicate one room for my home theater. Before that i was living in apartments and never bothered to set my system right because it was temporary place.

One of the down sided of my house is that i have pretty small room for my home theater. Its approximately 11' by 13' and would be perfect for two of us (me and my wife) but we do have people over a lot so it could be a problem.

As you can see in my signature i have some different speakers. I tried to keep them all from the same line but there were some deals i could not pass. I paid sale price for M60II and center online. I got FXia4 for $200 shipped in like new condition, and r50 were $60 a pair.

To put my system in my new house i wanted to put my tv inside the closet. will save alot of space in the room and will look neat. I also was thinking about painting inside the closet all black to match color of the tv and stand, to make it blend it for better viewing. but i also can put tv stand right flash with the wall so that center channel speaker will be almost in the same line with my fronts. I have 7.2 receiver so i really would like to have two subs. At this very moment i have only one PSW505 but by the time i'm done with my setting up i should get another one. I will do "sub crawl" method to determine where would be the best placement for my subs but as of now i plan on keeping them out front under my monitor 60II. ANy ideas on that?
My thinking is that i will make 1"-2" stand for the sub to get it off the ground a little, and then monitor 60II will just go on top of the sub. WHat you guys think do i need to get another stand for fronts or directly placing them on the sub would be fine?

FXI a4 are my surrounds and i'm not really sure about where i'm going to place them. Because of the window on the right side i can put them at the ear level so it hace to be high or low. but i can always make a stand for them and put them on the stand.

R50 will be my rears until i find a great deal on something else to replace them. but they will go on 1"-2" stand to get them off the ground a little.

because my receiver will be "in the closet" i was going to bring all my wires in to the attic and then distribute them to each speaker inside the wall. IN apartment wires were just on the floor and i had 14g wire, but if i do attic now i want to get 12g or maybe if i can find 10g wires.... for future upgrade if needed.

any ideas or input i would greatly appreciate.

thank you!

so i really would like to have two subs.

In a room that small, you do not need two subs.

directly placing them on the sub would be fine?

    That's a huge no-no.

The subs would transfer a tremendous amount of vibration to the speakers for starters.

i guess i could have thought of it too :) thank you.

would you think a stand would take care of it or just not an option at all?

I would just place the speakers on the floor. The 60's are a fairly tall speaker already.

Why the TV and gear in the closet?? Looking at your drawing I would put the TV and gear on the opposite wall..

    thank you.

I been browsing this forum for couple of days now. Just reading up on technicalities.

I guess my question would be about putting tv in the closet. logically I think its a good idea to save some more space in the room, since my room is pretty small, but I'm not sure on how its going to look in the end. Juat I guess need peoples opinion on it.

I havent set it up yet,but my receiver has auto set up with microphone. and I read somewhere here its better to let it set up automatically and then tweak a little to my preferrence after that. When I'm going to do that I probably would have more questions.

I have pretty small room. By putting tv in the closet I'm saving myself a little space so I can get a sectional there or maybe couple love seats. And also making it look nice by flashing it with the wall and hiding all yhe wires.
