    I have an svs, and have a Monster bass 300, works great i guess// sub cables don't really have to be much more then shielded well and have quality connections, either cable will work fine and similiar, my answer is somewhat what i got from Dr.spec when i asked this same question, I have the same size room as you basically and the pb1 does a great job.... the pb2-isd will smoke that room with base and spl.......

    Actually i called back and changed my order to a PB2-Plus. I figured the difference was only $360, so i went ahead and got that one. I mean $360 more for better drivers, 50% more watts (600 to 900) is well worth it. And Dr, I'll let you know if i need any help, which i probably will.

    One more thing, what disc do you guys recommend for setting up speaker calibration?

    what about the equalizers svs offers, did any of you purchase those, or are those not necessary?

    Unless you have a nasty peak at the listening position, you won't need a parametric EQ. Experiment with placement and only use EQ to tame room peaks as a last resort. They can be very useful, though.
