I have an svs, and have a Monster bass 300, works great i guess// sub cables don't really have to be much more then shielded well and have quality connections, either cable will work fine and similiar, my answer is somewhat what i got from Dr.spec when i asked this same question, I have the same size room as you basically and the pb1 does a great job.... the pb2-isd will smoke that room with base and spl.......MY HT RIG:

Actually i called back and changed my order to a PB2-Plus. I figured the difference was only $360, so i went ahead and got that one. I mean $360 more for better drivers, 50% more watts (600 to 900) is well worth it. And Dr, I'll let you know if i need any help, which i probably will.
One more thing, what disc do you guys recommend for setting up speaker calibration? -

what about the equalizers svs offers, did any of you purchase those, or are those not necessary?

Unless you have a nasty peak at the listening position, you won't need a parametric EQ. Experiment with placement and only use EQ to tame room peaks as a last resort. They can be very useful, though."What we do in life echoes in eternity"
