This came out in 2009 (if someone else posted this link before, sorry, a quick search found nothing) but for those who did not see it and are interested in getting into 24-bit digital sound, its a good place to start.
Although there are some shameless plugs for their some of their artists, there is some good information here for those of us who are just beginning to understand and appreciate Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC) 24-bit sound.

The more experienced and fans of vinyl will no doubt find problems with a few statements in the piece (this is NOT intended to be a vinyl vs digital discussion), but if you are not an expert at either and are interested in getting started with some good information, give it a read and post any useful remarks here so those of us not at the cutting edge of this fascinating medium can benefit.
Enjoy!
