Lately I have been on a speaker tryout spree. The latest editions to try out were a pair of Bohlender-Graebener Radia Z1 bookshelf speakers. Impressive on vocal, jazz, acoustic, and the like. Not much in the way of bass but that is easily fixed with a nice sealed sub. Don't know if I will keep these since I just purchased another pair of speakers. Or, they may end up in the closet with a bunch of other gear since they are very pleasing to listen to for extended periods. Anyone else ever listen to this brand?
Everything matters. That is all.
Money cannot buy happiness, but it sure can buy a bad **** boat to pull up along side it though.

I can't say I have much experience with BG, but I have heard a home made speaker systerm for a home theatre employing the largest BG planars (RD75 I think), along with 6 10" midbass (Vifa drivers from Parts Express), with seperate multiple 12" sub enclosures (I think 4 per side), running off of several Carver Sunfire amps and a Rane or Behringer speaker control system, and it was amazing. Not sure what other processing was in line as far as a preamp/AV processor.
The system was capable of being outrageously loud, but it actually sounded very good at normal levels, and put up a surprisingly good sound stage when ran in the 2 channel (+ subs) mode. As a home theatre system, I don't know that I have heard much better, but then I haven't really heard much having just really gotten started in this hobby.2 Channel
