Avoid salt and strongly alkaline cleaners.

Bar Keepers Friend works great, you might want to use care with certain silkscreened lettering, like with any cleaning product.

Eagle one Never Dull is a cotton gaus that has an aluminum polish already on it. It comes in a can and can be bought at most automotive stores. I havent ever used it on delicate electroncs but it shines up aluminum rims really nice.
