Are you into SDA's ? I have always wanted a pair of RTA's so I might be inclined to go for them but I also have a couple SDA's and dont need anymore...I think.

what part of CNY are you in?

For $375 get both then keep the ones you like and sell the other pair. For those prices, you shouldn't lose money.

I had RTA 11's for over 20 years and while they aren't quite like SDA's, they have their own addictive imaging properties and they really put out natural, solid bass. I hate the sl2000 tweet no matter what vintage speaker it's in.

They are easy to drive and are very balanced. Well worth the $150 you spent. I almost wish I still had mine, never did mod them, always meant to but I bought LSi's and then I settled back into SDA 1C's.

    Enjoy

Ahhh, now I remember seeing your set up at one point on here, I believe. Thought you looked familiar from the CNY location... not too many of us here.

Congratulations on the RTA 11's, I am very interested in your impressions as I am also familiar with SDA's including the 1.2TL's but not any of the RTA models. I would love to hear what you think.

I saw some in SRY for $175 but passed :frown:

I can't believe you're looking at these speakers, I tried to buy both pairs and was told they sold. I hope you got at least one pair, we need to keep those Polk's in upstate. I would rather they went to me in Syracuse!

Yup, the 11t's are at my house now. They are in immaculate condition. All drivers operate fine. And they do sound sweet.

The owner of the CRS's just e-mailed me and notified me of which night to listen to them. This indicates that they are still available.

I've had eight pair of those, and all in all a very nice loudspeaker. My ears long ago, gradually fixed the SL2000 inconsistencies.

Meaning an inability to hear frequencies above 12kHz due to old age ????

Both of those speakers are excellent. TL'd, the CRS's are very similar sonically to TL'd 2B's and would also be highly worth exploring if they are still available and you can swing acquiring both sets.

Those are the first 11t's I've seen in a non-beveled cabinet. Also the first non-black ones I've seen. I had 11TL's in that cabinet and in that finish, but never T's.
