M70 or M60 is the best for surround sound
Hi all,
I have an Onkyo NR3008 with Emotiva XPA-3 for my center and surround and XPA-2 for my two front.
Right now I have 2 RtiA9 for the front, a sub, 2 M70 for the surround and 2 SoundStage for my rear surround.
My question is, my Rti-A9 + my sub give me a lot of bass so, do you think the mid range will be much better with a pair of M60 in replacment of my M70 ?
Thank you

I do....My M70s have great bass, they get down pretty low.
My brother-in-law has the m60 and IMO they lack bass and a sub is needed.
So if your not looking to get down low go with the m60 and save some $.
Just my $0.02. -
Those A9's are nice speakers - I'd stick with the 70's for surrounds.polk monitor 70's
center - polk monitor cs2
surround - polk monitor 60's
surround back - jbl e10
sub - velodyne dps 12
sub - polk psw110
avr/pre-amp - onkyo tx-nr809
amp - adcom gfa-5500
amp - carver av405
display - sharp lc70le847u
tv - silicon dust hd homern
blu-ray - oppo bdp-103
hd dvd- toshiba hd xa2
control - logitech harmony one
turntable - technics sl1500 mkII -
I too would keep the 70s for surrounds, that's my plan when I get to upgrade my fronts to the a9's, my 70's go straight to surround. You can set the crossovers on the 70's so they're not pulling down too much bass.Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2
