I have found a KILLER deal on the new Martin Logan Motion 10 and the Motion 12. Has anyone auditioned these? The fact that they have the folded ribbon tweeter is very interesting. And I can pre order them at half off!

Any insight on their capability for 2-channel use, home theater?

I have had a good listen to the motion series and did not like them at all but...... the motion 12's on the other hand sounded f'n fantastic and so different .The 12's midrange woofer is actually a dipole so they have a really airy transparent sound compaired to the 10's .I didnt like the center channel, but they brought out another shortly after to address the problems of the plastic enclosures that the motion bookshelf's and centers were having .The small motion folded thing sounded bright on the bookshelfs but way better on the 10's and 12's .They are quite hard to drive because the motion fold is smaller but the new gen that I have not heard is way better and they doubled the size of the folded motion tweeter

I think the 12's are great and they wont make them again like this on the new series with the dipole midrange magic so I say go for the 12's for 2 ch and skip the rest or wait until the new series as they are all going to have wooden cabs to support enforce the bass

I am going to pm you something and you can thank me later

Only have the Motion 8 center, and for what it is, it is pretty good.

The motion 12s kind of have my attention. I am running all over the place trying to get my ears on speakers I have never heard. Have Polk SDA, LSi, Magnepan MMG, have heard B&W... I have never laid my ears on a pair of ML... The price I have found the Motion 12s for is just stupid and I think I just may jump. It would be cool for me to have several sets of different kinds of speakers to demo at the LSiM demo I am going to be doing. The LSiM will be center stage of course  Although, comparisons are always a good thing.
