Hi, to keep this short i'm new here and need help picking all the stuff i need to have a awesome sound system on the lake.

I was thinking:
-4 Polk DB651 speakers
- 1 maybe 2???(would that be necessary?) Polk DB1240DVC Sub

Would you recommend those speakers and the sub for a boat for water sports, i was the rider to be able to hear the music loud and clear too.

*My main question, can someone point me in the right way and tell me what amp(s) i need to get sound good sound going on my boat? i have no clue about the OHM and channel stuff.*

id like the keep this cheap so the cheapest route would be best, thanks

Just a suggestion here but, how about this and this?

The only problem is those speakers say they were discontinued.
Do think having 2 Polk DB651 speakers hanging from the tower facing backwards and 2 Polk DB651 speakers in the boat would be enough for the rider to hear to... Along with some subwoofer...

1.) will this set up work?
2.) Can someone suggest a sub size doesn't really matter (MUST BE WATER PROOF!)
3.)What is a cheap amp that will give good sound for my set up (4 speakers and sub)...

If someone could help me i would appreciate it :)

I've been on the water a very long time and I've never understood the desire to have the music blasting. In fact, everytime I hear someone blasting their tunes I have this overwhelming urge to grab my flaregun.

Obviously some folks don't realize it, but the vast number of boaters out there do not want to hear your music. It's not what boating is about.

Oh i know what you mean hearing others music, it can get annoying, but i'm going to be boating on lake ontario which is massive and were going to be basically in the middle of no where, so if i ever wanted to play some really loud music, it seem like the perfect place.
