Outlaw RR2150 vs HK3485

I have the HK3485 stereo receiver with Paradigm 60 v3's and I recently acquired a HSU VTF-1 sub (my first sub ever) which I am trying to learn to place and calibrate correctly. I don't use any inputs other than my Marantz CD player (Rc002).

I am wondering if the Outlaw will be a marked upgrade in this setup. (I also have a couple of Polk SDA-2's which from what I have read of the Outlaw might do a better job with than the HK's). I have not tried the SDA's yet, they are in another room in a HT setup with a Yamaha receiver.

I really don't need the tuner so an integrated amp would be fine for me. What I like is the sub out provided on both of these models. The HK seems to sound a bit 'bright' for me.

Any suggestions. Is there an integrated amp in this price range (around $600-800) that would be a better choice? I have been thinking of a NAD but I read that QC is a major problem. I have 2 other HK's in the house, one dating back to 1974 still working fine.
