Looking for suggestions to replace a cheapo Radio Shack Audio selector. I'd like it to be able to switch from one input to five (max) ouputs. Price range is under $300 bucks. Any suggestions welcome, thanks in advance. Cheers.

Line level switcher? So you're looking for a preamp then, right?
I think I saw what you want in an ad I got the other day. Let me look.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service. -

What about this? http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/50-6180
I'm using one with 3-inputs and it works great. It's a passive switch with no noticable noise/distortion introduced into the signal. It is also in a metal housing (built like a tank).Processor - Emotiva UMC-200
Pre-Amp (2 Ch) - Emotiva USP-1
DSP Minidsp nanoAVR DL
DAC (2 Ch) - Emotiva XDA-2
Amp (Fronts) - Emotiva XPA-2
Amp (Center/Surrounds) - Emotiva XPA-3
CD - Emotiva ERC-1
Fronts - Polk Audio RTi 12
Center - Polk Audio CSi5
Rears - Polk Audio RTiA1
Sub - Epik Knight
Sub EQ - Velodyne SMS-1
Monitor - Sony XBR65X850C
Blu-Ray - OPPO BDP-203
Network Media Player - Chromecast Ultra
Power Conditioner - APC H15
Power Conditioner - Emotiva CMX-2
PVR - DirecTV C61k
Remote - Harmony Touch w/Hub -

Are you looking for a distribution amplifier (i.e., one input to multiple outputs at the same time) or just switcher (you will only use one output at a time)?
Do you want it to be remote controlable? -

Okay, for example if I run a cable out of an LFE output into the switcher, I want to switch that LFE signal into one of three different powered woofers. Perhaps the word switcher may be confusing. The Radio Shack device I am using decides to cut in and out at will. Just looking for something more reliable. Remote control would be nice. Thanks. -
Nap,
Try looking at the Rane line. Reasonable price, some really clever products and they hold up well. I've a number of their products and can't think, despite some being in less than good places, of any pot or switch problems developing. You might well be able to find one used if needing to save money too. Since most are for pro situations, 1/4 inch connectors might present needing some adapters.

That’s why I don’t, I bought all of my current gear based on technical parameters alone, such as specs and measurements."
