Okay to run Monitor 7C's as large, with Yamaha AVR?

I found an old brochure for these which stated that the 7C's have an impedance of 4 ohms. However after doing about an hour of reading, I found an old thread in which a couple of members mentioned that they were actually 6 ohms.

If this is case, then would my Yamaha 2500 be able to safely power these if set to large? What would you guys suggest?

yes you should be fine, But I see a sub in your signature so why run them as large? just keep an eye on the volume because it your Yammie is like mine(RxV992) even though rated into 4ohms they really don't do well.

I don't believe 7C's are 4 ohms. I looked at my original Polk owners manual for Monitor 7's with a peerless tweet and they are 8 ohms. I doubt the newer 7C's had a lower impedence.
