Hello again, I came across this add for a Polk SUB-PSW 125 which seems to blow my Klipsch out of the stratisphere.First off my sub has a 8in woofer that is part of the H/T 500 set. knowing that the Polk is12in at 300 watts so powerful if indrodueced itmay blow it out of the water . All along I've been hearng at about timbre matcthing systems but wondered if this included also the subs.I do not intend on getting this sub but knowledge is power and the more info you retain can't hurt.

No - I'm pretty sure timbre matching isn't something to worry bout with subwoofers. Timbre matching probably has more to do with the tweeters and midrange - instruments, voices, etc.
Your choice of sub, though, depends on what you're going to use it for mostly. I have a PSW-505 that is similarly pretty powerful for what it is - and it does well for HT. But I haven't been that enamored with it for music - but could be placement, the room, perhaps tuning. My cousin's Epik Legend, however, disappears in his living room when playing music and is controlled and tight for movies.ALL BOXED UP for a while until I save up for a new place

Timbre Match is not an issue for subs.
Placement is key to a subs performance.
The PSW-125 is a very basic sub and will only be a bit better than what you have.
The PSW-505 is a much better sub musically and for HT and is much stronger.
Placement is key to a subs performance.
Watch this video on how to place a sub in a room.
