My brother has had LS 90s since new. i have tried them twice and found them very bass heavy and alittle wooly. My wife commented she felt like she had cotton in her ears compared to monitor 10s and RTA12s. I did not try stuffing the port. There is something appealing about them however. I have never heard LS 70s. Are they a better balanced more open sound compared to the 90s??

I always thought they looked very nice. I was kinda the same way after picking up a pair of S10's. Very boomy bass to me. And people seem to prefer the S8's.

I always like the looks of the LS series, especially in cherry. I believe that most prefer the LS50 and LS90 to the LS70.

The guy who designed the S series would agree. The S10 was intentionally bass heavy for those who like "Mucho Bass". I have a pair of S8 which are a very pleasing listen with nice tonal balance.

Really LS 50s and 90s over 70s?? I would have thought the 70s would be a good balance
