Hello everyone!! I'm new to the forums so wanted to see if I can get some feedback on an amplifier I'm looking at and if anyone owns the RTi12s. I'm wondering if the Crown XTI 2002 would be a good match for them? It seems to be a plenty powerful amp but just wanted a little feedback from current or past owners of the towers or even a similar amp. Any and all feedback is much appreciated. I was looking at an Emotiva XPA-3 but came across the Crown so wanted to get some thoughts. Thanks alot guys in advance.

So to get good bass of of these guys you need a lot of power even with their high efficiency. I have a Panasonic SA-XR57 which is rated 100 watts RMS per channel. Wired normally the bass and midrange is luckluster. After bi-wiring, and enabling bi-amping (100 watts HF and 200 watts LF) it sounded much much better, almost scary good.
If I had ~400-500 watts per channel I think it would be perfect.Pimpster78 wrote: »Hello everyone!! You don't need high wattage, just higher quality. The crown amp isn't really meant for home audio and may make your speakers sound brighter and more harsh on the top end. I would look for something a tad warmer in an amp like a used Parasound or B&K amp.HT SYSTEM-

You're way better off listening to Tonyb, pick up a nice used amp for them. The crowns do have power but I wouldn't use it for anything besides a passive sub, they just don't sound good for home audio.
