tube amp
Hey guys! today I listened, for the first time, a tube amp on a pair of RTi 4?s and a pair of RTi A3 and I liked the sound. The sales guys could not give me a real answer on how to match a tube amp to a set of speakers; so here I am asking you all Polk guys how to do that.
thanks in advance

A little more info on the amp and what you are planning to drive would help.A rule of thumb would be 4-8 ohm speakers with reasonable efficiency and a tube amp of 20-40 watts should put a smile on your face.Good luck.JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

To tell the truth this guy was like the owner?s son and he had no clue on what brand or wattage the amp was. I went close to see the amp and try and find something about it, but it had no brand or data I could see.
Can you recommend a nice budget tube amp? -
sure,, whats your budget,,and what are you gonna be driving(speakers)JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

I don't know how much power your speakers require but I'm playing Monitor 10s now and I've played Monitor 7s. The ones that surprised me are the AR11s. I can power any of these speakers as loud as I want.....not rock levels but a reasonable level with a 30 watt DARED.TO ERR IS HUMAN. TO FORGIVE IS CANINE.
