I just picked up this table and started looking at cartridge replacement. The question is, given the price of cartridges for the RX2 do I spend the money or sell this table and look for other stuff? Is this table worth my time and money? I don't have any experience with B&O.

The only thing I can comment on is that in all my years, I have never wanted to own anything B&O put out. Others may have a different view.

I thought with the b&o tables you had to use like their MMC ones. I think sound smith has them or rebuilds them or something like that.

I only say that because in my experience, or should I say the experiences of those I knew who owned anything by B&O, they had a mediocre sound to them and were constantly in need of repair for one thing or another. There may be a piece somewhere in their line up worth something, just can't put a finger on any specific one since nothing I ever came across did anything but make me want to leave the room.

I'm with Tony on this one. Bang and Oulfsen stuff has always looked nice, but I've never liked the way a lot of it has sounded, especially for the price. It is sort of reminiscent of Bose in a way. I would avoid a turntable that has significant issues getting basic parts like a cartridge, especially when there are much better alternatives out there, such as the Pro-ject Debut series.
